Recommending more appropriate personalized videos or images based on the user's region and language.
Following or unfollowing, sending feedback, reporting, etc., as well as signing in to the account with another device to get following list by using a secure third-party account sign-in method.
Obtaining the recommended content and triggering the operation behaviors by uploading the time stamp, region and language information of your device's operating system to pull more suitable and time-sensitive content from the server.
Collecting the user's Vid Tok account and save it in the database to distinguish the different behaviors of all users, and manage users in the background, in order to delete the user data if necessary.
Collecting the following or unfollowing information, likes, video playing data and the information of removing videos due to reporting, and sending the information of removing contents to Cloud platform.
Conducting promotional activities. If you enter into a sweepstake, contest, or similar promotion, for example, via Vid Tok's Facebook page or other social media platforms, we may use the personal information you provide therein to administer those programs.

Direct marketing

We may use your Account and other contact information to provide marketing materials to you relating to goods and services of Vid Tok and our Co-operators which offer network, mobile applications and cloud products and services. To provide better User experience, we may recommend the above-mentioned products, services and activities based on information about your purchase history, website browsing history, birthday, age, gender, and location. We will only so use your personal data after we obtain your prior explicit consent and obtain a clear affirmative action or indication of no objection in accordance with local data protection laws. You have the right to opt out of our proposed use of your personal data for direct marketing. If you no longer wish to receive certain types of email communications you may opt-out by following the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each email. From time to time, in order to conduct business operations smoothly and to provide you with the full capabilities of our Services, we may disclose your personal information from time to time to Co-operators which are our mailing houses, delivery service providers, telecommunications companies, data centers, data storage facilities, customer service providers, advertising and marketing service providers, agents acting on behalf of Vid Tok, related corporations, and/or other third parties (together "Co-operators"). For example, all data uploaded to the server is transmitted encrypted by TLS and will not be stored locally. Moreover, the user's account system is generated with MD5 encryption method. If the user is not signed in, the anonymous ID of the user will be used.

We classify your data based on importance and sensitivity, and ensure that your personal information has the highest security level. We make sure that our employees and Co-operators who access the information to help provide you with our Services are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet such obligations. We have special access controls for cloud based data storage as well. Vid Tok may use overseas facilities operated and controlled by Vid Tok to process or back up your personal information. You have understood that the risks under applicable data protection laws are different and we may transfer to and store your personal information at our overseas facilities.
